Dulquer and Mrunal steal the show in Sita Ramam. For a film like this to work, you need to be invested in their story, and the actors do a good job in ensuring that. They breathe life into their characters, and it doesn’t hurt that Mrunal looks breath-taking in the film. Rashmika, Tharun, Sachin, and Sumanth do a good enough job while Vennela Kishore and Murli Sharma are a hoot. A lot of able actors from Priyadarshi and Rahul Ravindran to Tinu Anand and Gautam Vasudev Menon make short appearances that work well for the film. PS Vinod, Shreyaas Krishna’s cinematography and Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music truly aid in bringing the world of Sita Ramam to life. But a special shoutout must be given to art director Irfan Rashid Sheikh and costume designer Sheetal Sharma for transporting the audience so seamlessly to the 60s and 80s.

Fact: Sita Ramam is a true story; however, whether Mrunal Thakur's character of Princess Noor Jahan is inspired by Princess Nilufer Hanmsultan is not known.

Story starts with afreen who hates India and his father ( Pak officer) give him letter give to sita from ram(Indian officer).

Ram Who was solo army officer giving his duty on Kashmir pak border. He never think about love, marriage and other family but one Kashmir incident made him hero due to his critical thinking and daring. This bring him to radio and from all India give him appreciations letters on headquarters.

Her story began with Sita. I don't want to revile secrets but How the Love become so pure and amazing just for sending letters. The army officer and Sita (unknown at first). There so many cute moments both of them.

Story & Dialogues

It is a mixed bag here. Mrunal Thakur as Sita Mahalaxmi and Dulquer Salmaan as Lt. Ram have a unique love story that spans two decades, and this is brought to notice by Afreen (Mandanna), a Pakistan-origin student who arrives in India from London, and is tasked with tracing Sita to hand over a 20-year-old letter written to her by Ram. She takes the help of her college senior, Balaji (Tharun Bhascker), who is now in Hyderabad. The story is so novel and unique, but there are moments when you are reminded of a classic like The Lunchbox, like initially when the two characters exchange love letters until they meet. When it comes to the story in essence, it is big winner. Coming to the dialogues, this is where the film falters, to no fault of the originally made film. As this is the dubbed version, the classic problems of emotions on-screen not matching the voice and intensity become recurrent, even though the leading actors have themselves voiced their Hindi lines as well. I haven't seen the original Telugu version, but here in Hindi, the impact is lost on a few occasions. Not that this hasn't led to some show-stealing dialogues that talk about loving your country as not being wrong, but harboring hatred for a neighboring country at the cost of loving your own isn't correct.

Action, love, drama, suspense, and the most important emotion you can see in this movie.

Must watchable Rating ( 4.9 /5 )
